Terms and Conditions for The Ethereal Haven
Welcome to The Ethereal Haven, your health, safety, and satisfaction are my foremost priorities.
As a fully qualified beauty therapist, I am dedicated to providing all treatments in a professional, serene, and hygienic
home-based environment. These terms are in place to ensure a clear, respectful, and wonderful experience for
us both. By scheduling your appointment, you agree to these conditions;
Appointments and Cancellations
• Booking Confirmation: All appointments must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
• A retainer secures your booking; the remainder is due on treatment day.
• You will receive a confirmation of your appointment once it's scheduled.
• The full address will be provided 24 hours prior to your appointment. The postcode will be included in your
initial confirmation text/email.
• Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service
cost.
• IN THE EVENT OF A NO-SHOW, THE FULL SERVICE FEE WILL BE APPLIED.
• Late Arrivals: Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late without
communication, we may need to shorten your treatment time or reschedule your appointment to avoid impacting
other clients. The full service fee will still apply.
Payments
• Payment Methods: We accept payment methods, CASH and bank transfer (fees do apply)
• Deposits: A retainer (30% of the service cost) is required for all treatments when booking to secure your
appointment. This retainer will be deducted from your total service cost.
• Pricing: All prices are subject to change with prior notice. However, the price confirmed at the time of booking
will be honoured.
Health and Safety
• To ensure the highest standard of care, we require the following:
• Mandatory Consultation: A confidential consultation form must be accurately completed in full by all clients
Prior to their first treatment
Client Responsibility
It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical information, including conditions,
Allergies, and medications.
Ongoing Updates
You must inform your therapist of any changes to your health or medical status at every
subsequent appointment, as this may affect treatment suitability.• Right to Refuse: Treatment cannot be performed without a completed form. We reserve the right to refuse
service if it is deemed unsafe due to undisclosed or newly developed contraindications.
• A doctor's note may be required for certain conditions before treatment can proceed.
Patch Testing
For treatments such as tinting, brow lamination, and lash extensions, a patch test is required at
least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This is for your safety to prevent any adverse reactions. Failure to have
a patch test will result in us being unable to perform the treatment.
General Contraindications (Applies to MOST services)
• Please be advised these conditions; Pregnancy/Breastfeeding, Heart Conditions, Pacemaker, Blood Clots,
Epilepsy, Active Skin Infections, Cold Sores, or Open Wounds in the treatment area, Blood-thinning medication or
Roaccutane (isotretinoin) may not allow treatment to commence.
Treatment-Specific Contraindications:
• Advanced Facials (High-Frequency, Microneedling): Also avoid if you have keloid scarring, herpes, rosacea,
eczema, uncontrolled diabetes, serve acne, metal implants, or had recent peels/laser/injections.
• Fat Reduction (Lemon Bottle™, Cavitation) & Injectable Vitamins: Also unsuitable with liver/kidney disease,
autoimmune/thyroid disorders, diabetes, significant obesity, or specific allergies to ingredients.
• Swedish Massage: Also unsuitable during the first trimester, with an infectious illness (flu), or after recent
surgery.
Nail Treatments
You must disclose any fungal infections, warts, or verrucas.
• Teeth Whitening: You must have healthy teeth and gums (no cavities or disease). Will not whiten crowns or
fillings. Not for those with peroxide allergies.
• Client Comfort: Please communicate any discomfort or concerns you have during your treatment. Your well-
being is our priority.
Haven Environment
• CCTV/Security Cameras: For the safety and security of my home and business, CCTV cameras are in operation in
common areas of the property, such as the entrance and waiting area.
• These cameras are for security purposes only and your privacy during treatments is always respected.
• Unforeseen Circumstances (Children's Sickness): As a home-based business, there may be occasions where my
children are unexpectedly unwell. In such cases, which are beyond my control, I will contact you as soon as
possible to reschedule your appointment. We will work together to find a mutually convenient new time.
Child Attendance at Appointments
You are welcome to bring a child to your appointment if they are well
behaved. However, please be aware that children are not supervised by me during your treatment. While every
effort is made to maintain a professional environment, your treatment may be interrupted if your child is
disruptive or requires your attention. If a child's behaviour significantly impacts the ability to perform the
treatment safely and effectively, we may need to reschedule the remainder of your appointment, and the full
service fee may still apply.
Content Creation & Marketing
• Filming/Photography for Promotional Content: From time to time, I will be capturing photos or short videos of
treatments (before and after) shots, treatment demonstrations) for use on social media, my website, or other
marketing materials.
• Your Consent is Required: I will always seek your verbal or written consent before filming or photographing you
for content purposes.• Right to Refuse: You have the absolute right to decline being filmed or photographed for content at any time,
without it affecting your service or future bookings.
• Anonymity: If you consent, I will ensure that your personal identity is protected unless otherwise agreed. This
may involve focusing on the treated area rather than your face, or not tagging/identifying you personally.
• Withdrawal of Consent: If you initially provide consent but later change your mind, please inform me, and I will
endeavour to remove any content featuring you where reasonably possible.
Data Protection (GDPR)
• All personal and medical information collected is held in the strictly confidential and is used solely for the
purpose of providing you with safe and effective treatments. Your information will not be shared with any third
party without your express consent unless required by law.
General
• Professional Conduct: We are committed to providing a professional and relaxing environment. We ask that
clients also conduct themselves respectfully. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason
deemed appropriate.
